Sunia: A Radical Approach to Modern Transitions

Listen Deeply. Live Boldly.

Why I Wrote This Book

Sunia is a refusal.
A refusal to sever.
A refusal to abandon what was never meant to be left behind.
A radical approach to listening to life differently.

In my case, it was trauma grief.
The sorrow of losing my late husband.
The soul rupture that split my life into before and after—when I knew, deep in my bones, that wasn’t how it was supposed to be.

Backed into a corner, forced to make an impossible choice—

Motherhood or my creative life.
Grief or growth.
Belonging or truth.

As if I could sever one without losing something sacred.

But I knew—I was never meant to choose.

So, I chose both.

And in that choice, I discovered a new way forward—one that allowed me to live and thrive in unconventional ways.

Sunia exists to teach radical presence and integration to those in soul-rupturing threshold moments—so she can tune in to herself differently, cut through the noise, and move with undeniable clarity instead of abandoning what was never meant to be left behind.

A black-and-white image of a woman embracing a fern leaf, her eyes closed in deep presence. The image evokes a sense of instinctual connection, quiet wisdom, and the essence of Sunia--deep listening beyond words, tuning into the primal knowing within

The Meaning
of Sunia

Sunia is a word that captured exactly what this book is about—deep, instinctual listening.

Inspired by the Sikh concept found in the Japji Sahib, Sunia goes beyond hearing—it embodies deep, attuned listening, not as a passive act but as a way of moving through life with clarity. It’s about tuning in, not just to what’s being said, but to a primal knowing—your soul song—guiding you, nudging you, showing you the way forward.
